Rumor Has It...

How screwed up would you be if you found out that both your mom and your grandma slept with the same guy? Beau Burroughs (Kevin Costner) has had his way with both. Sarah Huttinger (Jennifer Aniston) thinks Beau might be her father. When he’s proven not to be and she’s quite irked bythe circumstances, she sets off with this smoothie and soon finds herself in a quandry. She has the chance to follow in the footsteps of both women. Well, why not? All it might cost her is her future.

What does it take to kill some guys? Sasha (Ivan Petrushinov), a Russian gangster, is left lying inside his car with a bullet through his head. It was put there by Nick Cherenko (Dolph Lundgren) who, after the killing of his wife and son in a firefight, popped him and fled to the USA. Now maybe seven years later, he is approached by a woman who wants him to rescue her daughter who has been kidnapped and sold into a white slavery ring run by none other than the aforementioned Sacha. Returner

I remember from some other movie the scene where the hero/anti-hero on a motorcycle is careening down a highway (maybe with a girl-in-jeopardy on the back) chased by the bad guys in a roadster/Hummer/fast car and he jams on the front brake while twisting the handlebars. It forces his cycle into a pirouette and, as it twists, he fires his billion round machine pistol at them causing a gigantic explosion which would take out a small city in most places. And he just smirks. This movie has one of the best of those scenes in it with Miyamoto (Takeshi Kaneshiro) as the gunslinging maverick, Milly (Anne Suzuki) as the girl and a poor old Beamer as the car-in-jeopardy.

Red Sonja

Kids… What can you do with them? Particularly when they are royalty. Not much as Falkon (Paul L.Smith) knows. He has the unenviable task of being shepherd to the crankiest monarch this side of Cimmeria, Tarn (Ernie Reyes, Jr.), who orders him about as if his kingdom and his people still existed rather than slaughtered by the army of Queen Gedren (Sandahl Bergman). But the royal does have class. After rescuing his little butt from the swivel hand, he has the courtesy to offer Sonja (Brigitte Nielsen) a reward in gold, a job as cook and to dismiss her from his presence. Sonja just smiles.
