Lies & Alibis (2006)

The Mormon (Sam Elliott) is having a bad day. The events that he has been orchestrating have blown to hell and gone. Walking down the hotel corridor he sees a chance to save himself when he pulls a gun on Detective Bryce (Debi Mazar), not knowing she’s a cop. Dragging her back to her hotel room as a hostage, he pushes in to the room only to find it full of cops with their guns drawn and pointed at him. Discretion being the better part of valour, he surrenders gracefully.
